No big boats behind our house. We stay nimble on this small river. NIMBLE is also the way I want my new course-builders to be.
That means making 1st offers that can be created quickly and sold and delivered with “nimble” systems rather than full-blown online classrooms and pricey shopping carts.
I recently added a complete module with the how-tos for this to my signature program, the Teach What You Do eCourse Blueprint. But I can give you a quick tour to this nimble route right here.
1️⃣ MAKE A NIMBLE MVP OFFER
The “MVP” is a slice of the bigger course you'll eventually offer. You create this in a week or two and (just as important) your students can work through it quickly, themselves.
This MVP gets you 1st income AND validates interest in your teaching angle AND lets you mkae adjustments for the future bigger offer.
OR 1️⃣ MAKE A NIMBLE BETA OFFER
Not only do I see great success with the offer of a rough “beta” version of larger classes, this is an approach that you can PRESELL.
Make the offer. Get students signed up. Then create the course week by week with your students understanding they are your beta group who will get future updates.
The connection you'll develop with your students and content with this approach yields big benefits. You get the class done and build a solid understanding of how to oomph the product.
2️⃣ USE NIMBLE SALES AND DELIVERY PLATFORMS
This is NOT the time to build out and commit to a full-blown classroom platform. Do that in the next round. For now, use an eCommerce tool and deliver links via email. It'll work just fine and keep you nimble.
3️⃣ SELL WITH A NIMBLE LAUNCH
Use a series of free “red-carpet” content + email to walk prospects right up to the open classroom doors. Save the big webinars and extensive Facebook ads for next time.
